JOB DESCRIPTION

Do you also want to meet the visitors of Enköping Museum? Then you have the chance to work with us!

Enköping Museum works to collect, display, and tell the story of our cultural heritage. The museum attracts both the specialist and the curious who want to learn something new. You will be the one guiding visitors into our house.

As a host, you will work directly with visitors at the entrance of the old town hall in Enköping. You will provide excellent hospitality, have a friendly demeanor, and enjoy meeting people.

The museum will soon begin moving to a new cultural center in the city and will share the building with a new art hall, the city library, and a cinema. As a museum host, you will take a broader approach to hospitality together with new colleagues in the cultural center.

QUALIFICATIONS

Hospitality and Service
Since the position involves meeting visitors from various parts of Sweden and the world, hospitality and service are of utmost importance.

Good communication skills in Swedish and English
Since visitors come from different parts of the world, good communication skills in both Swedish and English are essential.

Experience in public-facing roles in receptions, offices, or similar.

Local knowledge
Knowledge of the local community and its history is an advantage.

Guiding experience
Guiding may be part of the job, so experience speaking in front of a group is a plus.

Other language skills
It is advantageous to know additional languages.

You are service-oriented with an interest, willingness, and ability to help others. You are attentive and accommodating in your interactions and strive to provide solutions.

You are self-driven and take responsibility for your tasks. You structure and manage your work independently.

You have good communication skills and adapt to the situation. You are engaged and convey your message effectively in both one-on-one meetings and in small or large groups. You listen actively and are receptive to others.

You collaborate well with others and relate to them in a responsive and smooth manner. You listen, communicate, and resolve collaboration difficulties or conflicts constructively.
